API key is banned

What steps will reproduce the problem?
  1. Use periscope in terminal

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
  Successful downloading of subtitles. Instead:
  "HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: This API key is BANNED. Please make sure you update the application that makes use of this key!"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
  Ubuntu

I have contacted the OpenSubtitles admin about it. In part, he said:

"you can use for example subdownloader or any other user agent - which support 
logging in."
[...]
"If you use program, which doesnt support log in - write to developer - and in 
this way you will fix it."

I must say, I greatly prefer periscope.

Everyone should request a personal key from BierDopje. Using a shared key is 
not viable (as that key is actually public as the code is opensource and I 
can't control how people are using the python module)

I'll put a wiki page to explain how to configure periscope to pick up that key.

Could you please also post a how to on how to request a key from Bierdopje? I 
don't understand a thing on their web site :/
