Any hint on what is wrong ? How to get around ?

Without meaning to sound patronising, do you have antivirus protection off? Windows Defender will disrupt things

pmo-19 commented 3 years ago

I tried setting the VirusScan Enterprise OFF (Access Protection and On-Access Scanner) and there was no difference ... Hum Maybe I didn't check the staus of Windows Defender ...

I am going to disable it permanently in the Windows Registry and try again the activation after a restart ...

pmo-19 commented 3 years ago

Even after disabling Windows Defender in Windows Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender by setting DisableAntiSpyware and DisableAntiVirus to 1 and in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender I still get the same error ...

Run option [3] Uninstall Completely then try option [1] again

rescenic commented 3 years ago

Sign off Microsoft account first in Microsoft Office before you activate.

Thank you. The trick Option [3] Uninstall Completely then Option [1] Activate (Manual) worked fine. Afterwards I selected Autorenwal ... It seems to work !
