Icons in footer won't shrink #5

I have tried to put the social media icons in the footer. On first import, they are too big and won't shrink even if I make a class for them and shrink them. I have also tried putting them into a 16x16px photoshop file and saving them as pngs there and then they end up small and grainy in the footer.
