It seems the code is severely lacking in comments. If this is still maintained, it should be updated to allow for godocs to document the code.

If you could point to the areas that need clarification, I'll gladly fill the gaps.

I'm checking out about generalizing some features. Will see where I get stuck and ask for clarification on those functions :)
