I don't remember who had access to the read-the-docs, nor which e-mail, and since it is not automatically building, the current docs are outdated.
I know much more Markdown than rst, and it is used much more frequently
I can preview and deploy to github pages more easily
The only Con I see, apart from the work to make the move, is that if someone is using the current read-the-docs link, it will be outdated. But since it is already outdated, I don't think it's a huge issue.
