The large 380EL sail winch has been a little flukey in the past, especially as compared to the 280EL used in Dewi (which is great). It needs testing, especially when large forces are applied to the sail because we had issues in Sailbot2014 of the winch stalling and restarting because the forces were so strong from very high winds, even with a 380.
It might be worth doing some calculations to see if we actually need a 380 in Kitty, as IIRC the USNA use a 280 in their boats of a similar size with no issues. However it's also worth noting the point above about our experiences in Sailbot2014.
