endless searching - no connection #36

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. follow installation procedure
2. enter the 4 digit code in iTunes
3. android hangs

What is the expected output? I expect the text box with the code number to go
away and the app to work.

What do you see instead? On the android I see the text box with the code.
iTunes has a single android device. I selected the back button as indicated in
the text box on the android and the library appears but the searching continues
and doesn't finish. Selecting the library on the android brings the text box
and same 4 digit number back.

When the android first appears on the iTunes device menu there is only a single
device, after entering the code in iTunes a second device appears and retruns
the message they have been connected. I select OK and then there is only a
single device on iTunes but the code text window remains on the android and the
searching continues.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

TunesRemote+ v2.1.0
iTunes v10.2 (mac)
OS X v10.6.6
Android v2.2 on htc EVO

I loaded iTunes v10.2.1 on a Windows7 machine with same results.

Please provide any additional information below. The android device appears on
iTunes and accepts the 4 digits as displayed on the android. The firewall on
the mac is off, the firewall on the windows machine is also off. The library
appears on the Android The iTunes library is shared.

I just downloaded the latest iTunes last night so I will give it a shot tonight
and see what I find out.

Oddly it works now... spent 3 days trying it with the same results. today,
same results, so I posted the issue. tried it one more time and it works,
both Mac and Win... didn't do anything different but did go into iTunes (on
both) and forgot all remotes and started from scratch.

Excellent. I bet it had a bad remote configuration for "android Remote" and so
removing all old remotes probably let it reset after the iTunes update.

I will mark this Invalid. Let me know if you have any other issues.
