System freezes when adapter is plugged into USB port #16

Once the installation is done (with either DKMS or non-DKMS), if I plug in the TL WN722N adapter into the computer's USB port, the whole system freezes (reboot needed).

same issue here

Same here. I think the driver sometimes (but not always) freezes up all of the USB inputs. So my mouse and keyboard (which are USB) stop working, hence the apparent system freeze. Maybe because the driver tries to (unsuccessfully) reboot USB devices or something like that? If so, the issue could be motherboard specific. My mobo is an ASUS PRIME B350M-A.

I have both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16, and noticed this happens only when I switch from Windows to Ubuntu. Very weird behavior, freaked me out the first couple of times. Here's my uname -a output:

Linux joaum 4.15.0-24-generic #26~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 15 14:35:08 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Totally regret not buying a PCI wireless card :stuck_out_tongue:

Does anyone know if there has been a solution to this issue?

Same here. Freezes both with builtin drivers and with this one installed.
