Fixed #10 (Dead Code Removal) and minor improvements #18

Removed redundant code blocks including:

pass statements
commented off code
unused variables/import statements

Also did some minor improvements including:

removing processShowName(self, name) and replacing with .replace(" ", "")
ensuring all variables referenced using self are initialized in __init__()
fixing spelling mistakes

If any of these changes were redundant and should be reverted, please comment filename and line to revert.
