Hi s_aki,
normally not, but I found that any entered date does not stick when you don't
fill
something into the description line.
Maybe you run into the same issue.

thanks, but in my case I've entered text into the alarm description field. No
matter
what I do (for any node/note) the alarm for any year apart from the current
2010 is
not shown. I think this is a simple error in the program. Plus reading through
the
posts, I see lots of users pointing out defects in the alarm function. Its an
excellent ability in keynote, BUT does not appear reliable in its current state
(I've counted 11 user reported defects in one screen alone)

I tried to set the very date 01.02.2011: everthing normal, incl. popup info.
Sticks also after closing and reopening.
Maybe it has to do with some setting on your machine?
Does this also happen in a freshly created knt file or on a different machine?
Is it still there when you install keynote freshly (all config files at
defaults)
and create a new file?
What OS do you use?
What are your regional settings?

You have to set it to the same day of the month as NOW - but in year 2011,
2012,
2013 etc. e.g today is 12th Feb 2010, so set alarm to 12/02/2011. Only displays
the
time BUT not the date. Try it for any year, BUT remember keep day & month same
as
TODAY. Does not show date only time alarm set for.

just to add further: you should have set the alarm to 10.02.2011 in your case
(since
your posting was dated 10.02.2011) - RULE TO REPLICATE ERROR: SET ALARM TO ANY
DATE
AS TODAY, BUT THE YEAR IN THE FUTURE 2011, 2012, 213, ETC.....

ok, now I see wat you mean: on my system is's even enoug just to keep the day
the
same (month can be different). This looks as if something is wrong with the
"today:
date of today" red marking function in this context as it happens only with
today's
day selected. Looks indeed like a bug.
