What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Right clic on tab
2. New note

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Note Properties: New notes don't inherit the same font stored on first note

What version are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.7.8.1 on Windows 7

That is not the behaviour of KeyNote. The fonts used by the the notes are those 
shown
when you click on "New notes.." -> Properties -> Note settings | Tree settings
You can change the font to be used

To change the default font that will be used in new properties you must enter in
Tools -> Default settings...
