What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
When GPS marker moves it should leave a marked track (a line) on the map.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
It allows to recognize instantly the direction on the map and how one got
there.

Yes that sounds great, specially if one is driving over uncharted territory, 

In order to draw the GPS path in the map we need to save it first, I been 
looking into 
something similar (GPS Traces Issue 79) once the path is saved we could read it 
and re 
draw it, this could be done in real time or after the trip is completed to 
review the 
path traveled.

I support drawing a track on the map exactly same way when we draw a path in 
google earth
Benefit: we ca follow the path to reach our destination easily

Initial version now released in r1272.

Currently saves GPS-data latitude and longitude to list with user defined 
interval in meters.

I'll try and do exporting of the track (as KML and GPX) in the future also. Not 
sure yet how to approach importing them, but I do have some ideas.
