Resume Pause feature for Downloads #106

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
1.Feature to Resume /Pause downloads process.
2.Resume from previous work (if application has been closed)

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
When required area to be downloaded is too large it can take
considerable time to download maps, this feature will enable
user to resume or pause on will.
Also if application gets hanged or closed it can resume from
previous progress.

Actually the download utility does not erase your progress...

Let's say that you start downloading a big area and after a while you click on cancel
all the map tiles that were downloaded are not deleted, if you click on
[download] it
will resume from the last point, that is as long as you keep the "download
utility"
open.

...but like you mention if the application gets hanged or closed the center
coordinates, the Area and Zoom is lost.

There could be a couple of solutions, I'm thinking about an auto save feature,
when the
user starts the download all the information will be automatically saved, also
add an
button that will load the information form the saved file

Issue is now resolved!
I will not describe it exactly as a resume/pause feature...
now when you start a download the data in the fields is saved to a file, and
next time
you launch the Download window there will be a new button that the user can
reload the
location.
