What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
Version compatible with windows mobile and pocket pc systems.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
Able to copy downloaded maps on to micro SD Card and have capability of
running a program under pocket pc environment, and perhaps use the GPS
function also.

No doubt it is a great Idea, but there is no simple way to port GMapCatcher to
the MS
win mobile platform without a complete redesign of the interface.
Also a test device is required to complete this task and I do not have one.

Hello.

Actually I did it and tested in the mountains in czech republic last weekend.
It's
pre alfa. It means - works, but it's not polished.

Features:
- displays offline maps. If there are some tiles missing, they won't be
downloaded.
Must be downloaded on PC and copied to the device.
- can display "waypoints" stored in the file. Text file contains - name of the
waypoint, GPS coordinations and color used for displaying.
- can switch landscape / portable view of the map
- can display GPS coordinations of the place displayed
- works with GPS in the device. Can show current position on the map.

If somebody want's to help with testing, let me know.

Actually - before I bought the device I made some (really) very simple viewing
tool
for the J2ME on my SE k770i. But before I enhanced the tool I bought HTC.

windows mobile version distributed with mapcatcher is unfortunately not working.
Some files are missing in the distribution of binary version.
Helder, I think, the best solution is to remove it from distribution.

There is a change - windows mobile version is working. New version was posted
into SVN. There are some bugs that I'm unable to fix because I don't have
access to development environment for some time now.

Read readme.txt. Usage notes, features and limitations are mentioned in the
file.
