What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
2 Good Looking 5Star GMC Suggestions

POI Filtering for current view
POI show icon

This must only be done on the poi.db which must be indexed
Filter POI's to current view set GPS co-ordinates and keep it at that range 
till user untick the box
Icon drop down for choosing which icons to show, or in setup tab
When Show icon is ticked, then show only the selected icons chosen
Icons can be linked by a name in field to which icon must show

Maybe this will also be handy when POI management get more attention
Like a small db with icons for poi's
Like a field called "icon"
Fields can then be filled with names of icons (in Access)
Icons must be same small size, while zooming, for ease, but all must show + 
show at all zoom levels
GE hide icons for certain zoom levels, here not

This will be a great improvement in EYE CATCHING advertising for GMC
Filtering of current view POI's
POI Icons that is showing on screen, nice onces

It also help the user to search in a much smaller poi.db range when filtered

He can view the poi.db name list

View all on screen with the icons
+
With this view of icons on screen manage the poi.db at ease

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?

Eye catching WOW effect on users
You can quickly filter poi.db for all poi's on the current viewed area
+
Then select only the Icons needed to show for that area

This will be awesome
