I can't connect to google map #295

What steps will reproduce the problem?
 1. input location on the text field
 2. click "Ok" button 
 3. presents "Can not connect to http://maps.google.com".

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i was expecting to see the location of my input on the map but it responds "Can 
not connect to http://maps.google.com".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
  GMapCather-0.7.6.1   OS:  Window xp Sp3 

Please provide any additional information below.
 i have tried to see online using my browser by requesting url , it's working perfect . i have read threads related to my problem , they explained more about configuring proxy but i don't know where to configure proxy on this software

Currently GMapCatcher does not have any options for proxy...

You might want to read comment #4 on Issue 35:
