Ability to modify/edit tracks #350

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?

I would find it very useful to be able modify tracks with GMapCatcher. 

E.g. Ctrl clicking or middle mouse clicking on a track could select the nearest 
point and repeating a middle mouse click or Ctrl click could insert a 
point/segment after the previously selected point.

Deleting a point could be achieved by Ctrl-Shift clicking.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?

I use GMapCatcher to create tracks to upload to my eTrex gps navigator, which I 
use for cycling. I often find that I need to alter just a small portion of a 
route. If the track contains several hundred points it is too time consuming to 
re-create it from scratch so I usually upload it to gpsies.com, which has this 
ability. It would be nice to be able modify tracks without an internet 
connection for then I am travelling.

This might be something that I could code myself but expect my first attempt at 
it would be somewhat awkward so welcome anyone to beat me to it.

To be able to move points and to be able to delete multiple points by selecting 
a region would also be helpful.

To avoid accidental mouse clicks, F7 could be used for a general edit mode.
