Mod, pitch wheel doesn't work unless manually assigned in the plugin settings menu

The mod and pitch wheels don't work unless they get manually assigned as so, but this isn't ideal as

• even if you deselect the plugin and play a note it will still play
• you have to do this for every instance of the plugin
