Is `word` a good name? #5

This program can be used to break down and analyse any string. It doesn't have to be words. I can be numbers, special characters, or a custom regex. So word doesn't necessarily describe the individual components we are breaking strings into. Perhaps string is better? Or candidate?

Although, I accept that the most likely use for this program is as a word counter.

I think word is as good as anything: Having a descriptive term that is correct most of the time, may be better than having a less descriptive word that is correct all of the time. But whatever you do, please don't pick string.

fragment might not be so bad.

Haha! Yeah, string sounds like a stupid idea. I like the idea of fragment, but I think you might be right... word should do!
