@stevepetersen thank you for reporting the problem and sorry for the slow reply. The issue has been fixed in 1.1.4 (https://github.com/ably/ably-ruby-rest/pull/12)
Until then you can manually update faraday
version to '0.17.4'
. It will fix the problem
When will this be released? It is blocking my upgrade for other gems in my system.
