Am having same issues with a Brostrend A2-600 8811AU chipset. I figured out all terminal commands for the 8812AU for A1 & A3 WiFi adapter, are the same chipsets so same commands, works good.
did you find the solution to solve the issue ? may other drivers ?
Unfortunately, no. Am still working on it tho. Looking in all places. Trying to find other adapter brands using same chipset 8811AU that may have commands in UBUNTU/Linux forums.
Apparently, these following brands are same chipset 8811AU, I have not investigated these drivers for Linux...yet. I'm assuming for #7, 8, 10, the N/A at end meant they did not work for Win OS:

I have edimax ew-7811dac based on 8811au chipset and it doesn't work
