Start ReadMe temporary open source release installation instructions #9

Tentative instructions which worked for me. Two things I was uncertain about:

[Guessing here—I didn’t use it] Products/Applications/OMCApplet.app to /Applications/
Products/Library/Services/OMCService.service to [I think] ~/Library/Services/ (That’s where it was in my installation.)

It’s not obvious to me how to update my documentation for the new version, but the following seemed to work for me:

Download the GitHub release.
Follow my “Manually copy each file into the position indicated” instructions.
Download Shortcuts, put it into your Applications folder, and make it a startup item.
For OMCEdit, I just copied the old OMC folder from another machine.

(Edited) Duh, just a cryptic version of the code-signing message:

“OnMyCommandCM.plugin” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.… macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.”

Fixed with sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine -r /Library/Frameworks/Abracode.framework

More or less the same instructions worked for me on ARM MacOs 14.6.1 23G93, though some of the relevant files and setting had been copied via Migration Assistant.
