Typing Not Letters/Numbers Makes Text Invisible

this happens with some actually, i can type stuff like '[' and ']', but typing 'à' for example, will hide the entire text. also '#' will type an apiced "no"

The "#" in the typeset of the default font in-game is actually "NO" as you can see on the resources of the game, and the reason something like "à" might make the text invisible is because the game only supports basic Latin characters (so no Latin-1 supplement and extended characters, and like that)
