Esc To Exit Confirmation #432

Open CreeperSword opened 2 years ago

CreeperSword commented 2 years ago

new feature, you have to press the escape key twice on the pause menu to exit the level, instead of just once (escape to pause, escape to bring up a warning/confirmation, then escape again to exit). Ignore escape prevents you from exiting the level with escape at all, which is a bit too much. Also, the ability to only block the menu button without also turning on ignore escape would be useful

This feels like a way cleaner solution vs. something like the "ignore esc" feature I know some macro bots offer.

i have ignore esc exactly because when i press it i sometimes get out because it gets double input

In that case, make the confirmation require you to hold it for X seconds or something?

Is it possible to rebind the key to exit a level on the pause menu?

Brittank88 commented 2 years ago

I'm not sure... I really need to familiarise myself with MHv7 features lol.

@MainConMan @Nicko2102 ?

NewAlexGamer commented 2 years ago

currently geometry dash nor megahack don't support key rebind for "vanilla" keys and the only thing getting close to that is the editor keybinds using betteredit, although limited to just the editor keys

as of now there is no option for that, but hopefully with the expansion of the auto-deafen feature we could use it for something similar to this, not sure how different it would be tho

Nope but I believe HJfod's BetterGD mod can do this, along with most keybinds on GD

Would make this a long press since people would have more control over it then
