agenda widget importing events since android update to 4.1.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. most recent update to jb 4.1.1
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
using 4x2 widget, my phone asked to update to the most recent jb os and I did, 
since then agenda widget shows only holidays and does not import anything from 
my calendars. I've tried creating events through the widget and other things 
but it will only display holidays. 

What Android OS are you using? Which version of Agenda Widget
4.1.1 and 2.1.10

Please provide any additional information below.
Please attach a log file attachment if possible in the case of force
closes.
Please add a label for the category of error (e.g. if dates are showing
incorrectly please choose "DateFormat"

Please try unticking the calendars and ticking it again?

I had tried that but it hadn't worked. I actually downloaded nova launcher to 
try it out and when I installed it I had to reload all my widgets and that 
fixed the problem. not sure if that would have fixed it with touch wiz too but 
probably.  thanks for your help.
