A Feature request
A privacy mode 
so when a sms/mms is received either 
   a. the message is shown as normal
   b. the sender is shown
   c. only the fact a message received is stated

reasoning behind request

1.
Joe works in an office and uses a G1 and its often unlocked showing the
screen, He receives a personal txt in nature ;) any body who maybe looking
at the phone can clearly see the message

2. Joe lends his phone to a friend / co worker to quickly google / what
ever something and he receives a personal message the person using the
phone with out wanting to or even going to look gets a few preview of the
message

This feature will not effective if there is another Mms app installed on device.
I planned to implement password protection feature, but has been rejected (by 
me) thru 
this reason.
But if you guys need it, it will available soon.

How can I contact you (rgv151)? I made a regex based filter for filtering 
unwanted 
(ads) smses - it works great on my phone - I can contribute it (possibly after 
some 
polishing like possibility to switch it of by checkbox instead of entering .* 
regex)

it wasn't more that the message can be read by another sms app it was the 
notification 
shows the content of the message on the status bar  
see handcent sms for what I mean s/he has added a privacy mode
