The paper notes the total time range like so:

We have developed a LS-based class-balanced ensemble CNN model that estimates the probability of Dst exceeding a given threshold 1 day ahead based on SoHO images. 51 selected storm events were chosen during a long-span historical data set (∼ 16 years), between 1996-05-01 and 2011-04-20

However, it also mentions a table saying All SoHO products and their details are shown in Table 2. The Table is seen here: image

I believe the model got confused in its script and put ongoing because of the table, which has lines indicating continuation of data availability.
