Conversion to YAML for easier editing and make sure comments don't auto-complete.

Apart from few cavils above, thanks for your efforts anyway ;-)

The original issue has been fixed, see a commit referencing it. I'm not ready to switch to YAML though until resolving pitfalls mentioned above. This is still debatable, so feel free to argue.
