I found a seed where the Sky Fish has the time stop soul, and you can't kill it because you need to stop time #9

Seed is 314159, flags are DHI FIX INT WIZ

I've collected every soul but Chronomage, and have killed every enemy but Sky Fish... which you can't kill without stopping time, which means you can never collect all the souls on this seed. This blocks you from the Chaos Ring. I'm about to beat the final boss, then go back with a Gameshark code that gives all souls to verify that Sky Fish drops Chronomage's soul, but every other enemy seems to have dropped its soul except for the unseen monster 82.

...I suppose it is possible that there's a Chronomage soul somewhere in a pedestal that I missed, too.

Yep, the Sky Fish has the soul that's required to kill the Sky Fish.
