This is really hard to do for some esoteric reason:
tint2 want to use the Windows manager's menu,
and the only solution founded is to be like a background.

This bug has been fixed since r31 (when Window Manager's menu was removed)

Ok, but how to tune up tintrc in order to keep the tint taskbar sunken? I'm
using
windowmaker, and tint is always on-top

This should be a "bug" of windowmaker, cause tint2 gives the window manager a
hint to
be in the background. If your window manager does not respect this hint, it's
the
window managers fault...
