Does not work with new Spotify web player #1

Spotify have released a new web player and the extension no longer works.

That's annoying, I just noticed it. I'll fix this sometime this week when I get time.

I wonder if I have the same error; my Spotify Web Player has the address https://open.spotify.com , not play.spotify.com , so clicking the icon only opens the web player.

Hey, i updated the extension today to work with the new player, not sure if u can see my upload. I forked it and did a pull request.

Can you please explain how to use that to update the browser extension; the Chrome Web Store still only has the old version. Thanks!

Hey there, the original developer have to update it.

For the time u can use the quick-spotify-master.crx file from my git. https://github.com/Kbeilstein/quick-spotify That's how i use it at the moment.
