This is only partially implementing Issue #12 Please don't close the Issue when completing the merge

Where is the (temporary) on/off switch for this partially implemented feature? If we merge this this behaviour can not be the default.

This is WIP because the task is in a POC state. The POC could and should be deployed for discussion, so the task can be refined and finally implemented.

Also because of this, the branch should be merged into develop but not deleted, as there a new task will not be opened for the final implementation. It will be done in the same branch.

@simar0at, I implemented the switch in the window selector menu. Please test it, and if OK, complete the merge without deleting the branch.
