Should ”32 bytes” seems a bit much for something trying to be lightweight.

See Section on "Channel Binding":

Unless otherwise indicated by an application profile, the length SHOULD be set to 32 bytes.

@emanjon how about reducing the length of the edhoc-unique string to 16 bytes? Any specific guidelines to follow?
