Does your harddrive support APM and/or AAM at all?

It worked before I installed the AMD drivers. The drive was working with APM
and
AAM.

Same issue here, running Seagate ST9250315AS with AHCI on nVidia ION chipset &
WinXP
SP3. Drive supports APM.

Probably because AHCI appears as SCSI device. (Also tested with HDDScan 3.2, ATA
feature setting not available, only SCSI)

A new version is comming soon.

Completely rewritten, supports both 32 and 64Bit OS, Optical drive Speed
control,
installs as a windows service - no need for UAC

Please check this from time to time...

Chipset)

I am impatiently waiting for your new version. Are you talking about days or
months?, because I´m checking this site every day... :)

I have the same symptoms with a Toshiba MK6014MAP w/ W2K SP4 on an old HP
Omnibook
4150. Guess I'm stuck with using hdparm. :(
