Yes, it really does. It is especially notable in software which continuously loads additional data with certain pauses. Like demos for example.

Thank you for your meticulous build and fine pictures. //showDriveIdle(); if commenting this improves response I am fine with that.

Note: About the number of buttons buttons; While I have started with 5 buttons (I synced serial input to buttons at first) later I realized that 4 buttons are sufficient for GUI.
