How to get the underlying standards map in a parseable format? #19

Hi team,

Thanks for a great project. I was wondering if it'd be possible to download the map of standards in a parseable format like CSV or JSON. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Joshua,

We are glad you enjoyed it and thank you for your question.

The Coherence Map is based off a document called the Wiring Diagram: http://achievethecore.org/page/844/ccssm-wiring-diagram. There are some differences, but this would be the best item to print off to show the connections between standards, though it is admittedly slightly confusing (which is exactly why we created the Coherence Map).

Best,

Amber

Amber, thanks so much for the promote response! And, thanks so much for sharing the link.

To be more specific, our org (a 501c3 nonprofit called Teaching Lab) is looking to utilize the Map through a free web service that will help teachers with lesson planning. We were hoping to find an easy way to a machine-parseable version of the mappings, for example, either in a CSV or JSON file, or to access the same API endpoints that the Coherence Map website is using to get the mappings. Do you know if this might be possible? Thanks so much!

Hi Joshua, Thanks for your patience as we find exactly what you are requesting. I've downloaded the CSV files for the coherence map and they are attached. Please let me know if this is helpful.

Best, Jaime

@Studentachievementpartners

Hi Jaime,

I'm currently receiving all your messages through a Github issues thread (https://github.com/achievethecore/atc-coherence-map/issues/19), while you seem to be receiving all of mine via email. I'm not receiving any emails in my Github email address, and I'm also not able to see any attachments on the Github issues thread. Could you kindly try sending the email directly to joshua.ling@teachinglab.org or provide me with an email address and I can reach out directly? Thanks so much again for your help.

Hi @Studentachievementpartners,

I am a research scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research in Singapore and we are interested in the map of standards as well. Could you send me the CSV files too? It would be most deeply appreciated. My email is tan_chor_seng@i2r.a-star.edu.sg. Thanks a lot!

Best Regards, Chor Seng

Hi! I am a researcher at the Allen Institute for AI, working on a few AI & Education initiatives. I would also like a copy of this csv file, if possible? My email is lucyl@allenai.org. Thank you so much!

Update: I found them at https://achievethecore.org/standards-admin/json.php.

Attached is my attempt in reformatting all edges into a space-delimited txt.
