Custom elements do not work with jdk8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use JDK8 and start umlet
2. Go to the custom element editor and open any of the templates

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: The drawn template in the right bottom
Instead: The CustomElementWithErrors element without mentioning any compiler 
errors

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 12.2 on Ubuntu Linux with JDK8. 
It works with JDK7.
