Hi
I don't have an iPhone so it's not possible to reproduce the issue, but this
sounds like a browser issue which will hopefully be fixed in one of their next
versions.
In the meantime, have you tried using Chrome?
At least on Android Chrome I can click on Import and then select a random
document like an uxf

I doubt it, as iOS is a closed ecosystem. I think Apple would only allow
importing of photos into its browser. Even trying out other browser apps in iOS
do not help.
That is why I'm hoping if there is a way to import uml layout files from the
clipboard (copy-paste function of text). Isn't uxf supposed to be some form of
xml after all?

Ok, if this problem also occurs on Chrome, it seems like some kind of an "Apple
policy" to only let the user import photos which means we won't see a fix.
About the textarea to paste diagrams into:
Of course that would be a possible alternative, although it's less convenient.
We just didn't knew about the issue with importing diagrams on iOS.
In one of the future versions we will try to improve usability on mobile
devices in general (like zooming, touch-controls, ...), perhaps we can check
the OS you're running and decide if you get the current file-browser-approach
(default) or a textarea input to paste an uxf into (iOS)

You can also choose to add Dropbox functionality, like how draw.io does theirs.
That is at least allowed on iOS Safari. Files can at least be easily saved into
and retrieved from Dropbox..
