Andorid L SSL Sockets Bug #270

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Connect to a IP/PORT that uses SSL TLS 1.0 and try and send ASCII commands to
it.

You will find it will fail to connect.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to create the socket connection using TLSv1.0 and send
ASCII string messages to the connected device and I should get a ASCII string
reply leaving the socket open to be able to get more replys and able to send
more strings to it.

What mobile phone are you using?
Google Nexus 5. (Hammerhead)

Which Android Version and stock ROM or aftermarket like cyanogenmod?
OS: Andorid L
Baseband Version: M8974A-2.0.50.2.08
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-g370231c android-build@kpdm5.cbf.corp.google.com #1 Wed
Jun 11 17:00:01 PDT 2014
Build number: LPV81C
(Downloads direct from Google Developer site -
http://developer.android.com/preview/index.html)

Please provide any additional information below.
The same code I am using works fine on all versions of Android except Android L.
When I connect using Andorid L it fails to connect and there seems to be no
work around it to make it work for Android L.
