Here's another reason that I'd like to add such resources to the list: https://agilecoachcompetencyframework.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/ACi-Coach-Competency-Framework-X-WIng-1024x584.png
And another rationale would be that SM should help their team overcome challenges, and they are very often related to engineering practices: https://miro.medium.com/max/4800/1*bED5YM65ZpXhrZ1YQ002Lw.webp
I would begin with something like the list below. Let me know if I should continue, maybe I can add those books to our readme.md and then have you review it via PR? If you have concerns regarding any of the books, you can just comment directly, while reviewing.
Software Development Lifecycle: Agile ALM https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11165258-agile-alm Agile Application Lifecycle Management https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16248727-agile-application-lifecycle-management The changing face of application lifecycle management https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/13866040/download-the-changing-face-of-application-life-cycle-mks ALM, ADLM, EAP, SDLC & DevOps: Understanding Software Development https://blogs.sw.siemens.com/polarion/alm-adlm-eapt-sdlc-devops-understanding-software-development/
DevOps DevOps Handbook https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26083308-the-devops-handbook The Phoenix Project https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17255186-the-phoenix-project The Unicorn Project https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/44333183-the-unicorn-project Continuous Integration https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1311542.Continuous_Integration Continuous Delivery https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8686650-continuous-delivery
I think we can just add them in the PR (Pull Request) and discuss it there - this approach is usually more efficient.
However I see this issue as a good place to have a discussion about how you called it "engineering resources" 👌
The Phoenix Project
is must-read to everyone to see how painful IT can be 😄
I would also add:
@robertjanista @fadehelix let's discuss xD
Should we add more technical issues to the list if resources? To me it was very valuable to be provided with a list of sources about testing, good programming practices, releasing etc. It may be very useful for fresh scrum masters with no engineering background, as this topic is usually overwhelming to them.
