expectation

link multiple acorn apps to one app. acorn run --link my-redis:redis --link my-db:db ...
link multiple containers in one app to another app acorn run --link my-mongo:mongo-0 --link my-mongo:mongo-1 ...

use cases

multi-tier applications deployed by separate acorn apps. For instance, one system which consists of api app, message queue app, task scheduler/conductor app, work app, db app (like openstack)
clustering systems which require each member should be identified in connection string or at least more than 1 members

The firest one "link multiple acorn apps to one app" should already work. Is that not the case?

The second one, I think @cloudnautique and @ibuildthecloud have been discussing this problem and different ways to solve it. I'll ask around.
