The power is still an unknown (just a bit):

Try/choose between D cells, C cells, and 18650 cells.
Must be able to run the ATA Payload for 2+ hours, with a 6 hour target
Must be easily changeable or rechargeable

In any case, it has to be a very solid lock on the batteries so that during flight nothing shakes loose.

this could mean fabricating a cap or hood if the case isn't already screwed shut.
Batteries are going to go on the last facing away from the electronics.
Needs to terminate with either a USB or JST connector to the board.
Connectors need to be positive locking and firm

Did order some new 18650 cells and a 4 cell holder with USB charging for testing.

Need to get a large D cell holder for testing.

D cells will need to work with some kind of power regulator (boost/buck) to ensure a steady 5v.

Currently trying a 4400 mAh LiIon pack from Adafruit. It plugs directly into the feather, provides enough runtime (we'll test it), and fits into the ATA Payload area easily.
