Current status: Invalid Current labels: Type-Defect, Priority-Critical, OpSys-Linux, Usability

linuxcbon on 2014 Jan 13 at 20:15:03:

Puppy precise 5.7.1 linux 3.9.11 I didn't compile the game. I used binary from http://sourceforge.net/projects/assaultcuber/files/Release%202.6/Release%202.6.0/acr_02_06_00-l.tar.gz/download

unzip and run ./client.sh

Shows game menu and then crash

Based on the stacktrace, I assume that this happens on some maps, but if you retry it a few times, it should be able to run.

I am guessing that the map format isn't being read properly.

This same crash (or a similar one) happens if I try to load an ACR 2.5.x map.

Starting the game several times helps but the game can't be played. All I see is a blue screen.

hi, please see my comment above, I could reproduce it.

Status: Started-Redo

theonlypwner on 2014 Aug 23 at 01:41:51:

This issue is one of those assumed to affect version 2.6 and previous versions.

Status: Invalid

linuxcbon on 2014 Oct 23 at 08:31:59:

Hello, shouldn't the bug be set to closed or solved ? It is insulting for people reporting to call the bug invalid.

theonlypwner on 2014 Oct 30 at 00:21:33:

Out of Google Code's default issue statuses, "Invalid" best describes the issues affecting 2.6 and before.

Fixed = Developer made source code changes, QA should verify Verified = QA has verified that the fix worked Invalid = This was not a valid issue report Duplicate = This report duplicates an existing issue WontFix = We decided to not take action on this issue Done = The requested non-coding task was completed

The 2.7 changes invalidated a large number of issues, but unfortunately, there isn't a better status to assign these issues. If they were assigned to "Fixed", they would show up in "Issues to verify". Since these issues are not verified, "Verified" would be misleading.

linuxcbon on 2014 Nov 3 at 19:09:06:

hi theonlypwner, thanks for the answer. Why not set to "fixed", so people can verify them ? Cheers

theonlypwner on 2014 Nov 10 at 22:15:28:

"Fixed" means that a project member is supposed to verify it and close it. "Fixed" issues show up when you search for "Issues to verify" in the search bar.
