Is it acceptable to provide modifications in the name that are intended to help with screenreaders pronunciation of labels?

Ex 1: <a aria-name="Shiv-awn">Siobhan</a>

Ex 2: <a aria-name="char-lot, MI">Charlotte, MI</a>

ACT Task Force conclusion: adding pronunciation help in the accname, when it differs from the visible label, would be a failure.

It would cause problems for Braille users.
W3C is working on a pronunciation spec: Pronunciation Overview | Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) | W3C
