Blackbox testing using Robotium #684

Only .apk is available. My test Project is working fine and every test launches 
the app on the emulator.
solo methods like enterText(), clickOnButton() do not work . It simply scrolls 
to the bootom of the screen and throws an error that no editText field was 
found. I do not have the source code for the app. 
Buttons, Image Views, EditText fields are not recognized it seems.
I am using Robotium-solo 5.2.1 and eclipse IDE for my test project
Help out friends, its quite urgent.

Probably its a phone gap app that does not work with Robotium.
