Question here over whether we actually need this requirement. Would an authority who erroneously submits a date not simply just then submit the correct date rather than blanking it (the assumption being that blank planned dates should not exist).
Internal feedback:
Changing current milestones. Say a schemes current milestone is at feasibility design completed. If you enter a date for a new milestone, so it was at feasibility design and you enter a date in detailed design and save. Will that update the current milestone to detailed design completed? If you’ve made a mistake and its only actually at preliminary design, can you not go back in and change it?
Regarding the later point, until this story is played then a user cannot correct moving to a new milestone.
Including the bid date and freezing it so it cant be changed should help this issue. Then an authority can correct their forecast or actual date if they've made an error.
Authority feedback:
- We had previously entered detailed design completed for a scheme, so had to add a date, but we ar now doing more design work, so couldn't amend the fact that the detailed design wasn't completed - had to enter a date
- System bugs / inconsistencies - forced to input dates in the future
An LA may wish to remove a milestone date that was entered in error. Currently any milestone date with a value is mandatory.
