Makefile and spell check #32

Thanks to @mbirgen for a spell check that sat unaddressed for quite some time, but it's now been incorporated along with methods for building the full chapters 9–12 with the latest PreTeXt. I'm going to merge this myself @nelong so that I can have @davidfarmer update the version at https://www.activecalculus.org/vector yet this week.

I will get to work on the new sections soon. I have been burnt out but feel like doing some writing this week.
