Can not control my Lightpack with Prismatic and LEDs are always on. #120

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Lightpack_hw7.5-16112013
Prismatik 5.11.0 rev. 0e2312b
Windows 7 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

One evening I've noticed that lightpack was on even though I haven't switched
it on. I'm not sure what happened, but I can't control it anymore with
prismatic. I've installed latest version of prismatic, flashed lightpack
firmware once more, tried different usb ports, disconnecting cables but nothing
seems to help. Prismatic does detect lightpack (in configuration wizard for
example), but I cant't do anything with it, leds are always on (different
colors). Attaching log.

Same happened to me today. Did you find the way to solve this?

I wasn't using it for a few months then connected it again and it worked. Most
probably the problem was caused by some other USB device (because almost all of
my USB ports are in use), otherwise setup has not changed.

Could you try latest version (5.11.2), launch Prismatik with --debug=high
command line argument and upload logs.
Switching between modes (mood static color, mood/liquid, grab) while taking
logs could be useful as well.
thanks

According to logs, lightpack is detected and able to respond correctly to
requests from Prismatik.
Could you check that your power supply plugged in?
Does it work? I really appreciate if you can check it using multimeter.

I don't have a multimeter, but anyway I doubt it´s a matter of power.
The leds are on and very bright, each with one color (making some kind of
"rainbow" behind my tv), but no matter what I select from Prismatik, the leds
keep that way, no responding to the application instructions.
I have unplugged many times both USB and power supply with same effect

Guys, problem solved.
I connected all once more, and noticed/remembered that the usb was connected
thru a usb extender. Checked changing the extender and finally worked like
expected. I don't know why this worked before during months and then didn't
(probably bad cable quality), but I state here for other fellows that could run
into the same issue: TRIPLE CHECK all the usb connections, especially if using
an extender like me.

Kind regards and thanks for the assistance.
