Prismatik does not start in Ubuntu 12.04 64bit, Lightpack device not found

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start prismatik

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Lots of text scrolling by. Lightpack device not found. Log file attached

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
prismatik_5.9.6, firmware 7.5
3.2.0-57-generic #87-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 12 21:35:10 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 
x86_64 GNU/Linux 

Please provide any additional information below.
Works fine from the same computer when booted into Windows 7.

have you tried Prismatik 5.10.3, or 5.10.4 from 
https://github.com/Atarity/Lightpack/releases?

firmare 7.5 doesn't supported by prismatik 5.9.6? try 5.10.3 or 5.10.4 which 
are available on github
