Lightpack won't work with Mac OS X #65

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connecting lightpack.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Literally nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The latest as of January 21, 2014

Please provide any additional information below.
I received my lightpack this morning. I installed everything with lots of
attention and detail, then, as I inserted the USB cable to my Macbook Pro,
nothing. The software gave me the circle with a line through it and simply
wouldn't do anything. I tried every setting and every regular troubleshoot.

I am using Maverick on the Mac.

I tried the software on my Nexus and the lights worked well, however, I bought
it for watching movies through my Macbook.

have you tried this version from their hp:
http://lightpack.tv/downloads

seems that this is 5.10.4 instead of 5.9.x
i haven't had success with 5.9 either but 5.10 works for me.

Regards

Hi, I got exactly the same problem.
Same configuration (macbook pro with maverick, the latest version (10.9.1)).

I received my lightpack this morning and downloaded from
http://lightpack.tv/downloads the 5.10.4 version.

I'm able to turn the light on and off from my Mac and change the colour but the
screen grabbing mode won't work. When watching a movie the light don't change
color at all.

Any idea ?
Thank you very much for your help.

This is an App Nap issue!
But there is no "Disable App Nap" Option in Prismatik's "Get Info" Window!
Open Terminal and Copy & Paste the string below into your Terminal:

defaults write com.yourcompany.Prismatik NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES

But you have to do this every time you reboot your Mac!
